On Friday, law enforcement apprehended 17 individuals in connection with a fatal clash between opposing groups of the Bugti family, resulting in the death of five individuals and the injury of two others. The altercation occurred late Thursday evening near Ali Haider Bugti’s home in Defence Housing Authority’s (DHA) Khayaban-i-Nishat.
Police arrested 17 suspects following the shootout between the Fahad Bugti and Ali Haider Bugti factions. The shootout took place late at night near the residence of Ali Haider Bugti in the Defense Housing Authority’s Khayaban-e-Nishat area. The deceased include Fahad Bugti, a nephew of the late Baloch chieftain Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, and four others from both factions.
Ali Haider Bugti, who is also a maternal nephew of the chieftain, sustained injuries during the clash. The police have been assigned to guard the two injured Bugti family members, who are considered key figures in the ongoing investigation. The two Bugti factions have provided conflicting accounts of who initiated the attack.
